👉Breeding: Throughout the year, but frequent in march.
👉Description: white - ashy hairy boday, black face, hand and feet and long tail.
👉Food: vegetarian (flowers, fruits, leaves, root etc. of various plants).
👉Distribution: All over Gujarat, Relatively higher concentration in some cities, towns villages gir, nearby area of Vadodara, kheda and parts of North Gujarat.
👉Habitat: open forest and wooded area, close to human habitation. All habitats, including towns and cities.
👉Behaviour: Arboreal and diurnal. Stays in troops of 10 to 20 with an adult male as a leader of each troop. In morning and evening active for food. Rests during hot noon hours. Usually seen on the fruit bearing trees. Quite distinct is the loud hoop emitted when bounding from tree to tree or otherwise contentedly occupied. Do not remain on ground for longer period. Most of the food is obtained from trees.
